Apply to the 2026 Festival

The Geeva Arts Festival is an annual celebration of the Indian classical arts run by the Guru Vandana Academy, a non-profit organization in Louisville, KY. The performance dates are July 10th, 11th, and 12th 2026. Each artist will receive a $300 honorarium in addition to travel, accommodation, and food. The performance slot will be 30 to 40 minutes.

This year, our festival will be centered on "Migrations." This theme explores the immigrant experience—stories in which traveling, journeying, and/or finding new belonging are central. This can be more than just migration stories from India to the United States. It could be interpreted as migrations between emotions, melodies, beat cycles, languages, etc. Overall, we hope this festival curation comes together to assert the necessity of migrating and mixing of diverse peoples, beliefs, art forms, and ideas. It goes without saying, we encourage you to find unique ways of approaching the festival theme and invite you to reinterpret or adjust existing works to better suit our curation.
